      <description>I'm curious about this as well.  I've got a product that uses a PPC and CF card w/ext3.  I had the same problem with corruption.  Ultimately I made the CF read only and used the ram file system for anything dynamic.  I had to remount as r/w to save our configuration file.

      <description>In 2.6.18 kernel (MVL Pro5), I can think of 2 drivers that uses SPI drivers/mtd/devices/spi_flash.c and sound/soc/codecs/ak*.c.  There are many more examples in the upstream kernel.  Perhaps they would be helpful as an example.
